Location: Surrey Federation of WIs, 6 Paris, Parklands, Railton Road, Guildford, Surrey GU2 9JX.
You will receive an introduction to basic bead weaving skills by Ruth Vickery including attaching a clasp, and fastening off a thread and joining a new one.
You will also gain a more in depth knowledge of the stitches used in beadwork and an understanding of potential variations. You will be working on a piece similar to those shown.
You will probably not complete it by the end of the day, but you will have the beads, clasp and the knowledge to finish it at home.
Cost covers a basic beading kit which includes a booklet, beading mat, needle and thread. (You will only need to purchase additional beads and a clasp if you wish to make an additional bracelet; payable on the day.)
Tea and coffee will be provided but you will need to bring your own lunch.
Cost for the day is £25.00.
Please state if you were booked on to the original workshop that was cancelled due to Covid.
Places are limited to 12 Surrey WI members only!
