Our speaker is Robin Wilson, who has a PhD in Satellite imaging and complex systems simulation and is currently a freelance academic and data scientist. His talk is of personal interest to him where hundreds of satellites orbit the Earth every day, collecting data that is used for monitoring almost all aspects of the environment. The talk will introduce you to satellite imaging and how the data can be applied to monitoring plant growth, air pollution and more.
Come at 1.45pm for a 2.00pm start, entry £2 on the door includes tea and biscuits afterwards. All are welcome, WI members, partners and friends. Please register your interest to book a place by emailing: hello@3science.org.uk. No prior science knowledge is necessary to enjoy these talks.
