Croquet, Pimm’s, lunch and fun

This is just what you need to blow the lockdown blues away: a day among friends in the fresh air having fun learning how to play croquet (or improve your game) while enjoying lovely food and drink.

We are back in action with one of our popular croquet days hosted by Surbiton Croquet Club. Beginners and experienced players are welcome to join us at the club in Alexandra Drive, Surbiton, KT5 9AA. The numbers are limited to 32 — so if you want to come book now, through the office, website or via the ticket application form on Page 19 of SWIN.

For your money you will enjoy morning coffee, pre-lunch Pimm’s, lunch with wine, afternoon tea and cake, interspersed with tuition in croquet. It’s a smashing, fun day out which culminates in a competition, with prizes, to demonstrate your new-found skills all for £48.

And after lockdown, that sounds like heaven …

1. Applications for tickets before the closing date cannot be guaranteed. Applications for tickets after the closing date may not be accepted. The office will email a confirmation that your application has been received.
2. If the event is oversubscribed at the closing date, then a ballot for tickets will take place and the applicant will be advised of the outcome.
3. PLEASE NOTE – It is the responsibility of the applicant to maintain a list of names of all those on whose behalf they are ordering tickets.
4. REMEMBER – Tickets may only be ordered if the applicant has paid the WI for them. WI funds cannot be used to cover the cost of tickets not required.
5. CANCELLATION – Tickets may be cancelled before the event closing date without charge, otherwise all tickets have to be paid for.
6. All tickets ordered online along with any other instructions and an invoice will be sent to the WI Treasurer for distribution after the closing date.
7. Non-members, where applicable, may order tickets by printing this completed form and sending it to the Federation HQ together with a cheque payable to ‘SFWI’ for the full amount of tickets ordered and a self-addressed envelope for the return of tickets and instructions. Individuals may also apply in this way.
8. REMINDER – Members are reminded that they take part in all events at their own risk.
