Yeoman Warder Amanda Jayne Clark (AJ) joined the Army in Jan 1992 and retired in March 2017 where she became the second female in history to become a Yeoman Warder at Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress the Tower of London.
Her Service in the Armed Forces saw her carry out her Logistical duties overseas in Germany, Romania, Falkland Islands, Kenya, as well as Operational duties in Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Having served in the Royal Logistic Corps for 25 years and retiring as a Warrant Officer the opportunity arose to apply for a position as a Yeoman Warder and was accepted after a very intensive interview process.
The Yeoman Warders all reside at the Tower of London with their families, and AJ lives there with her husband Simon who is still serving in the Armed Forces and their two miniature dachshunds, Wellington-Walter and Bess-Lillibet.
