The talk will cover how Tom’s influential Granny, when he was 3 years old gave him a packet of carrot seeds and a trowel!
His red blood cells then turned a shade of green and he has never looked back!
Tom will talk about growing up at his family home Lullingstone Castle and his plant hunting trips that led him to end up being kidnapped in the Darien Gap – whilst hunting for rare species of orchid!
The main focus of Tom’s talk will be on the creation and the ongoing developing ‘World Garden at Lullingstone Castle’ that all arose embryonically from his death defying time in captivity!
The cost of a place is £5.00 and can be booked via Eventbrite.
