Literary lunch with Lynda La Plante, CBE

The creator of Prime Suspect heroine Det. Chief Insp. Jane Tennison will be the guest speaker at our Literary Lunch which will hopefully go ahead in September.

Lynda La Plante, CBE, not only created one of TV’s most memorable police officers — brought to life on screen by Helen Mirren — but she has written countless other books and TV series, including Widows,Trial and Retribution, and the Anna Travis series Above Suspicion.

We also have a superb new venue: Glenmore House, at 6 The Crescent, Surbiton, KT6 4BN, is described as a fine example of late Georgian architecture. It has plenty of parking and is not far from Surbiton station.
The date is Friday, 18 September; the cost is £35 for a two course lunch. Drinks are not included. Arrive after 12 noon for lunch at 1pm.

Tickets are now available via the application form, our website, www.surrey fedwi.org.uk, or by sending an email to the office giving your name,WI, the name of the event and paying by electronic bank transfer.
NB: Places are limited to 130 so if, as we expect, demand for tickets is high, we may have to hold a ballot, hence 12 June closing date.
