Let’s get you hooked on Crochet!
HAVE you always wanted to learn how to crochet — or to improve your crocheting skills?
Then come along to one of the workshops being held on Tuesday, 21 April (beginners) and Tuesday, 28 April (intermediate) at SFWI HQ, Guildford, when tutor Meriel Sexton will guide you. Both workshops run from 10am to 3.30pm and cost £12.50 plus an additional payment of no more than £5 for materials, to be paid on the day.
Beginners will learn chain stitch, double crochet stitch, half treble stitch, treble crochet stitch and how to make “Granny Squares”. You will then make eight and a half squares which you can join together to make a sunglasses case.
Intermediates will revise the above and also learn a double treble stitch and combine these stitches to create an iPad cover. Material will be available to line your work.
You may not complete the items on the day but you will be able take home the materials required to complete your work.
Tea and coffee will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch.
The closing dates are 21 March (beginners), 28 March (intermediate).
