Date: Tuesday 20 April
Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Ticket application closing date: Tuesday 20 April
At the time of entering The Great British Bake Off in 2019, Rosie Brandreth-Poynter was a 28-year-old veterinary surgeon based in Somerset where she lives with her husband, three dogs, a horse, a tortoise, two bearded dragons, plus some ducks and chickens. Rosie’s baking talents definitely come in handy when it comes to keeping everyone well fed.
The talk will be ‘behind the scenes on the Great British Bake Off – what you’ve always wanted to know’. Topics will include the filming of the show, bits that don’t make the cut – and why and many anecdotes from the tent.
She will also talk about going back for the Christmas special and meeting Matt Lucas, managing to film the show with a severe nut allergy and keeping in contact with the other bakers.
A passion for baking was ignited in Rosie when she was given a recipe book at the age of five. Now 28, she has been baking ever since, even while studying at Cambridge whenever she is not on call.
This event is open to everyone.
The cost of a place is £5.00 and can be booked via Eventbrite.
